Well, the post is good! point wise divided but i didnt find any mention about Google authorship (many calling in Good Guy algorithm though). Having a G+ accnt is a must and authorship to your authority as a blogger gets the best exposure through this channel.
In this recent video, Matt Cutts said that Google doesnt consider social share signals for ranking and he specified Twitter and Facebook as these are just another websites - thats how Google algorithm recognizes them. Google+ shares, +1s surely affects the SERP! What I find in the post is that there is no such confirmed in this write-up.
Finally, I guess the post has derived the data from pretty old sources. Why? Google+ active users are definitely somewhere around 1 billion, arguably G+ is lagging 14 million users behind compared to FB. On the other hand, Twitter is on 500 million, Pinterest 70 million, Facebook is 1.15 billion!
